Olive Garden Insalata


About This Recipe

"This is a copycat recipe for Olive Garden's Insalata (the salad they serve tableside).
Ingredients

Dressing
o 8 ounces Paul Newman's Vinegar and Oil Dressing
o 1 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
o 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
o 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
o 1 tablespoon sugar(I would use AGAVE honey,INSTEAD OF SUGAR)
Salad
o 1 (16 ounce) bags prepared mixed salad greens ( American Blend Dole Salad)
o 5 slices red onions
o 6 black olives
o 4 banana peppers
o 1/2 cup croutons
o 1 small tomatoes, quartered
o freshly grated parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions

1. Put dressing ingredients into a bottle and shake well. Refrigerate 24 hours before using.
2. Chill one salad bowl in freezer for at least 30 minutes. Place bag of salad in bowl. Place on top of lettuce the red onion, black olives, banana peppers, tomatoes, and croutons. Add some freshly grated Parmesan cheese if you like, and add plenty of Olive Garden Insalada Dressing on top, shaking before using.


PCOS Recipe Avocado Salad

This PCOS recipe is a very quick and delicious summer salad. It's refreshing and takes less than five minutes from refrigerator to table. It makes a great addition to any backyard dinner.

Ingredients

* 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
* 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
* 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
* 1 pinch ground black pepper

* 1 avocado - peeled, pitted and sliced
* 2 small tomatoes, each cut into 8 wedges

Directions

In a small bowl whisk together Dijon mustard, extra-virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and pepper.

Slice the avocado and tomato into small wedges. On a plate make a circle alternating avocado and tomato. Finish by drizzling the dressing.
