My cycles vary .Yes they can be non there to anywhere from 24-55 days in between
but here is the last info from my last cycles

December 29th ,2011 ( 33 days )
*note on clear blue fertility monitor January 7th .showed high fertility
and ovulation between 24-36 hrs
* had spotting periodically after the first three days of period as well ?(confusing )
